About Us
For 10 years, The Institute of Irish Leadership has brought opportunities to explore the Irish Language, culture and heritage of the local area to the people of Pomeroy. We have a vision to enrich the local area by providing education and services for the benefit of local families and those from wider afield, promoting a deeper engagement with the Irish Language and heritage. We offer weekly Irish Language classes and the annual summer school, Gaeltacht Thír Eoghain, for those adults who can’t get to the other Gaeltacht.
The Institute of Irish Leadership provides various arts, culture and heritage activities, this includes storytelling, tours of the area and musical events. We serve a small rural community and provide classes, courses, lectures, other educational events and health and wellbeing activities for adults and children. We also facilitate training and personal development courses, popular amongst the older people of our local community. We value connection, partnership and facilitate as many opportunities as possible for local people. Our work over the last decade has made the Institute into a community hub in Pomeroy.
